The lack of a side spill and the incredible concentration of light allow for much easier detection of objects inside narrow openings. The concentrated beam penetrates better through smoke and dust than the beam of a conventional flashlight or searchlight. HyperBeam flashlights allow detecting objects as far as 350-400 meters way in field conditions.
